A ceasefire agreement in Russia's war against Ukraine has not been reached, according to a statement from the Elysee Palace after French President Emmanuel Macron spoke separately with Russian President Vladimir Putin and the President on Tuesday Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky.

— There is currently no agreement, but the President (Emanuel Macron) remains convinced of the need to continue his efforts. There is no other option than a ceasefire and good faith negotiations between Russia and Ukraine,” the statement said.
