The President of France also warned the Belarusian usurper about the inadmissibility of permission to deploy Russian nuclear weapons on the territory of the country.
On Saturday, February 26, French President Emmanuel Macron had a lengthy telephone conversation with self-proclaimed Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, trying to convince him of the need for an early withdrawal of Russian troops from Belarus.
This is discussed in the official message on the website of the Elysee Palace.
The French president stressed that the appearance of Russian army units in Belarus led to “a one-sided and unjust war” and stressed that “fraternal relations between the Belarusian and Ukrainian peoples should have forced Belarus to refuse to be a vassal and, in fact, an accomplice in Russia's war against Ukraine.”
Macron also warned the Belarusian dictator about the inadmissibility of allowing the deployment of Russian nuclear weapons in the country.
At the same time, the French president stressed the need for Belarus to cooperate with the international community in order to carry out humanitarian operations to help the Ukrainian people.
The conversation between Lukashenko and Macron is also reported by the Belarusian Telegram channel Pool of the First.
The report noted that the negotiations lasted more than an hour. The Belarusian side described the content of the conversation in general terms, saying that it was about the position of Belarus and its involvement in the [Russian-Ukrainian] conflict, as well as about relations between Belarus and Russia.
Recall, the head of the State Border Guard Service, Sergei Deineko, sent an official letter to the head of the State Border Committee of the Republic of Belarus, Anatoly Lappo. The head of the Ukrainian border agency noted that Belarus is actually waging war together with Russia.
