French President Macron called the dialogue with Putin meaningful and rich

French President Emmanuel Macron called his dialogue with Russian President Vladimir Putin meaningful and rich. This is how the French leader described in a post on his Instagram page a meeting with his Russian counterpart, which took place in Moscow.
“In Moscow, President Putin and I had a rich, meaningful exchange of views. It is necessary to work together to maintain stability, peace and to set in motion the mechanisms of trust. We are sure of it,” the post reads.
Macron's talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin took place in the Kremlin on February 7 and lasted more than five hours. Later, the French leader said that he had achieved the main goal of his trip – he took a promise from his Russian colleague not to provoke a further escalation of the crisis in Ukraine.
