French President Emmanuel Macron called his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin to discuss a number of issues. This was reported on the Kremlin website.
First of all, in connection with the terrorist acts in France, the parties confirmed their determination to fight any manifestations of extremism.
Also, the Russian president told his French counterpart about the steps that are being taken to cease fire in Nagorno-Karabakh and resume negotiations. In addition, during the conversation, the topic of Ukraine was touched upon. Russia and France reaffirmed the need to fulfill the Minsk agreements.
The countries noted the similarity of positions and assessments on the situation in Libya, agreeing to intensify actions in order to quickly normalize the situation in that country.
Putin and Macron also expressed interest in deepening cooperation on the fight against coronavirus, including in the development of vaccines.
