French President Emmanuel Macron allegedly asked Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi to mediate between Russia and Ukraine Ukraine.
After consultations, the Iranian Foreign Ministry sent its official delegation to Moscow.

“One of the senior leaders of Western Europe turned to the President of Iran with a request to become a mediator in the war in Ukraine,” Iranian Deputy Chief of Staff for Political Affairs Mohammad Jamshidi wrote on his Twitter.
He also added that after consultations, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir -Abdollahian sent a peace initiative to Moscow along with an important message.
The ISNA publication notes that this leader, French President Macron is the one who turned to Iran.
Recall that Russia could have received damaged drones from Iran.
