Lurkmore creator promised to block intolerant articles

The creator of Lurkmore, an online encyclopedia that bills itself as “an encyclopedia of contemporary culture, folklore and subcultures and everything else,” made a surprise announcement. He warned that he would remove intolerant articles from the public domain.

In a Facebook post, Lurkmore owner David Homak stated that his project was “taken over by conservatives and alt-rightists.” Khomak noted that Lurkomorye was made “not for alt-rightists, not for pravaks, not for those who ironically zig in defense of private property. Not for those who came to troll and scoff at people on the Internet. ” The project, according to Khomak, was conceived as a collection of information for “people who want something new, interesting, want to understand how the world around us works.”

The creator of “Lurkomorya” said that for many years he did not interfere with the content of the site. However, now he decided to apply coercive measures. According to him, a number of articles by Lurka are archived and are no longer indexed by search engines. “It was an interesting project, then it was an archive, but you, with your alt-rightist, conservative and stupidly racist ideas, do not let him die in peace,” added Homak.

Users have already accused the owner of Lurkmore of censorship.
