President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that an attempt to commit terrorist acts had been prevented in the country, BelTA informs.

According to Lukashenka, during the day on December 21 and at night on December 22, seven people were detained who tried to commit terrorist acts. The Minister of Internal Affairs of the republic reported to him about this.

“We just watched and waited for them to do it under the camera. They filmed everything, ”the president said. According to him, they tried to commit terrorist acts against government officials – in particular, prosecutors and judges. He stressed that the security forces are looking for another suspect. “It seems like I ran to Russia. But they will bring it to us there, ”Lukashenka noted.

Lukashenko added that the authorities are aware of the actions of “opponents” who, according to the head of state, will try to boycott the constitutional referendum and get into the state apparatus. He urged officials to be careful when selecting personnel.
