Alexander Lukashenko boasted that, despite the sanctions, Belarus “produces a lot of weapons.”
The self-proclaimed president of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko , said that, despite the sanctions, Belarus, not without the help of Russia, “produces various types of weapons, and even exports them to 57 countries.”
Lukashenka stated this at a meeting on financing the purchase of military products on February 27.
“I want to note that, despite the unprecedented sanctions pressure, we are producing enough weapons and military equipment for the needs of the Belarusian army. This is due to the fact that everything we need – I mean weapons, hardware – we easily get from Russia. And as for microelectronics, optoelectronics, optics and other things – praise to those who have preserved the production inherited from the Soviet Union. And thus, together with Russia, we can produce any type of weapons, “said the self-proclaimed president.
Lukashenka also boasted that Belarus “successfully develops modern weapons” not only in those areas where it has “scientific and technical heritage and competencies”, but also develops “new demanded areas – rockets, artillery ammunition.”
It should be reminded that on Sunday, February 26, two explosions occurred at a military airfield in Belarus. Damage could have been received by the reconnaissance aircraft of the Russian Federation DRLV A-50 VKS.
The State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus said that 1.5 million people could be mobilized in the country.
