At a meeting with the Minister of Natural Resources, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko spoke about the work of forecasters, BelTA informs.
He noted that he had earlier criticized the hydrometeorological service for the lack of reliability of forecasts and gave instructions to correct the situation.
“I see that there is progress. I follow this very closely. Three days is an absolutely accurate forecast, and even a week is almost never wrong. Well, half a degree is a degree. A dramatic change, ”Lukashenka said.
He also said that nature is “an absolute priority” for him. “This is a priority of priorities. There is nature – there is life. No nature – no life. The rougher, boorishly we treat nature, the worse we live. Therefore, I have paid and will continue to pay serious attention to environmental protection, ”Lukashenko added.
Earlier, the head of the republic called Belarus an island of security in Europe.
