Belarusian army will most likely not take a direct part in the war against Ukraine.
However, the state will continue to help the aggressor country Russia. In particular, we are talking about providing our own airspace.
This is stated in the analytical report of the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
It is noted that Belarusian dictator Alexander Lukashenko fears for his regime. In turn, the Kremlin is putting pressure on the self-proclaimed president. Russia is likely demanding that Belarus join the war.
“Lukashenko will likely continue to allow Russian troops access to Belarusian airspace in order to demonstrate at least nominal support for Russian President Vladimir Putin without risking direct military involvement of armed forces of Belarus in the operation in Ukraine,” the message says.
It is noted that the government of Belarus has transferred the use of the Pribytki airfield in the Gomel region to the terrorist state of Russia.
American analysts note: the likelihood direct participation of Belarus in the war in Ukraine remains low due to the impact that it can have on the stability and even survival of the Lukashenka regime.
Recall that the 139th day of the heroic opposition of the Ukrainian nation to the Russian military invasion has begun. The Armed Forces of Ukraine beat the invaders near Dementievka and drove them away from Mazanovka and the Valley.
