Lukashenka criticized Belarusian drones: he needs “something modern”

Lukashenka also wanted to fight drones.

Self-proclaimed President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said he did not like the drones that the military showed him. He is convinced that they “should be more modern.”

Belarusian propagandists write about this.

Lukashenka recalled that in October 2022, a Belarusian drone was shown to him at the training ground.

“But I must say that this is not what is needed today. More correctly, this is what is needed, but it should be more modern. We are making strike UAVs at a low level,” the dictator said.

Lukashenka also demanded that his military pay attention to electronic warfare and air defense systems. He stated that Belarus has begun developing its own medium-range air defense system and missiles to it.

Recall that in October 2022, Lukashenka visited a training ground in the Brest region, where employees of the State Committee for Military Industry showed him Belarusian-made drones and other military equipment.

On Sunday, February 26, two explosions were heard at the Machulishchi military airfield, where Russian MiG-31 and DRLV A-50 VKS aircraft are deployed. The second plane, according to the Belarusian monitoring groups, received significant damage. Belarusian partisans took responsibility for the attack.
