Lukashenka calls Belarusian athletes guilty of depriving the country of the World Hockey Championship

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko accused athletes of depriving the country of the right to host the 2021 Ice Hockey World Championship. TASS reports.

In his opinion, some athletes, brought up by local coaches, stood in the reception rooms of international organizations, begging for sanctions against their country. Lukashenko noted that it was with their submission that the decision was made to postpone the world hockey championship. “I will say one thing: you cannot build happiness on betrayal of the Motherland,” Lukashenka stressed.
