The police tracked down a swindler who, on the eve of the New Year, escaped from the courtroom after the continuation of the measure of restraint. The 37-year-old man was again placed in a pre-trial detention center.
The incident took place on December 30 in the Ivano-Frankivsk city court. Previously convicted man was charged under Part 2 of Art. 190, part 2 of Art. 15, part 3 of Art. 190 (Fraud) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
In particular, he organized criminal schemes “your relative got into the police and he needs help.”
Where was the fugitive found?
Operatives of the regional police of the Ivano-Frankivsk region tracked down a 37-year-old man in Lviv. In the video, he apologized to law enforcement officers.
Special forces were involved in the detention of the unfortunate fugitive. From responsibility, he was hiding in one of the apartments of a high-rise building, which he rented by the day.
In addition to the liability provided for fraud, a 37-year-old man will also be tried under Part 1 of Art. 393 (Escape from a place of deprivation of liberty or from custody) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Now law enforcement officers are establishing a circle of persons who could help ensure that the attacker was at large.
