The head of government said that the needs related to Ukraine are very important for Lithuania.

This was announced by Prime Minister of Lithuania Ingrida Simonyte in an interview with LRT.

“For Ukraine (aid costs in 2024 – ed.) we estimate a total of about 0.4% of GDP, that is, approximately 340 million euros,” Simonyte said.

She noted that the needs related to Ukraine are very important for Lithuania. This is not only support for refugees, but also general support for Ukraine. This issue will be especially acute if the EU countries are unable to agree on assistance to Ukraine in the amount of 50 billion euros.

The publication reported that the Lithuanian government will consider the draft budget for next year on October 5.
