A criminal case has been opened.
On the body of a former Ukrainian deputy-traitor Ilya Kiva, liquidated on December 6 in the Moscow region, two gunshot wounds were discovered.
Russian weapons of mass destruction report this with reference to the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.
“Two bullet wounds were found on Kiva's body, two pistol casings and a cartridge were seized,” the message says.
Law enforcement officers also inspected the deceased’s car and the hotel room in which he lived in recent months.
The Investigative Committee emphasizes that the case of the murder of ex-deputy of the Council Ilya Kiva has been transferred to the department for investigating particularly important cases in the Moscow region. It is noted that a number of examinations have been appointed in the case, interrogations of witnesses and a search for those involved in the murder are underway.
Meanwhile, the SHOT Telegram channel, citing its own sources, writes that Kiva was killed with a pistol shot to the head. Law enforcement officials are considering the possibility that the politician could have been killed by one of the hotel residents or employees.
“A review of the body showed that Kiva was killed with a pistol shot to the head. One of the bullets went tangent, so he was still alive for some time,” the channel writes.
The Velich Country Club Hotel, where the former MP lived, has suspended reception of guests. They canceled the already paid reservation due to investigative actions.
It is noted that a criminal case has been opened under the articles “Murder” and “Illegal acquisition, transfer, sale, storage, transportation, forwarding or carrying of explosives or explosive devices.”
