The architectural monument is located on Mount Kremenets near the city of Izyum: last time (using aircraft and artillery) Nazis shelled this area.
Information about the destruction of the World War II Memorial was confirmed by the head of the department of the Izyum City Council Maxim Strelnik.
– They destroyed the World War II Memorial on Kremyanka. One of the monument's stelae fell from their aerial bombardment. Fascists! Let's not forget! We won't forgive! he wrote.
Maxim Strelnik also said that as of March 17, the sky over Izyum was safe, because yesterday Ukrainian defenders successfully shot down two planes and one helicopter of Putin's invaders.
