In Zaporozhye, a man killed a homeless puppy. Ten children witnessed the massacre of the animal .
The incident took place on December 25 in the courtyard of an apartment building on Zestafonskaya Street.
At about 19.00 pm, the man left the house and approached the puppy sitting near the playground.
The 42-year-old neighbor took a knife out of his jacket pocket and killed the unfortunate animal in front of the children. What they saw frightened the kids and they ran home: their parents turned to the police.
Law enforcers identified the dog's tormentor. Previously, a 42-year-old man categorically denies his involvement in the death of a puppy.
Criminal proceedings are open under part 2 of article 299 (Cruelty to animals committed in the presence of young children) of the Criminal Code Ukraine.
In addition to the real punishment in the form of imprisonment from three to five years, the sanction of the article also provides for a suspended sentence.
