What is known about Maria and her disappearance

The 18-year-old Ukrainian woman was reportedly in Italy with fellow students from the University of Bratislava.

A few hours before her disappearance, she received confirmation that her internship would end on July 6 with no possibility of continuing it.

It is known that the girl also transferred funds to her brother. After that, there were no more actions with her accounts.

Investigators are considering the possibility that Maria left voluntarily. Cameras captured her on an exit ramp near State Road 379. So far, there is no indication of violent circumstances that could have caused her disappearance.

On the day of her disappearance, the girl was wearing a white T-shirt.

At the tourist village, she is described as a quiet girl interested in gaining experience in Italy. They noticed that she still knows little Italian.

The parents have already been informed of Maria's disappearance. The search continues, including the use of dog handlers and a helicopter.
