Lawyer Sabine ten Dusshatt, representing the interests of the accused Russian citizen Oleg Pulatov, named a factor complicating the investigation of the crash of the Malaysian Boeing 777 flight MH17. RIA Novosti reports.

According to Dusshatte, the anonymity of the witnesses makes it difficult to assess the reliability of their testimony. She believes that what was said by such witnesses should be checked more carefully and carefully. “We are simply not aware of the biographies of anonymous witnesses, and this is an obstacle to the necessary assessment of the reliability of these people … We do not know what interest they had,” the lawyer explained.

On November 3, it was reported that the person involved in the case of the death of the Malaysian Boeing near Donetsk, Oleg Pulatov, first testified at the trial. According to the former commander, the militias of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) may have mentioned Buk anti-aircraft missile systems (SAM) in negotiations. Thus, they tried to misinform the Ukrainian military, who could listen to their talks. Commenting on ties with Russia, Pulatov said that at the time of the disaster he had not served in the Russian army. He stressed that he was fired from the Russian Armed Forces back in 2008.

A Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777 on flight MH17 from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur was shot down in the skies over the Donetsk region on July 17, 2014. There were 298 people on board, all of whom died. The international investigation team, following the investigation, named the names of the defendants in the case of the Boeing crash. These are Russians Igor Girkin (Strelkov), Oleg Pulatov, Sergey Dubinsky and Ukrainian Leonid Kharchenko. All of them, according to the investigation, are related to the movement of the Buk complex, from which, presumably, the liner was shot down.
