The investigation believes that a scientist from the Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute (TsAGI) Valery Golubkin handed over reports on his work to the project coordinator of the Hexafly-Int hypersonic aircraft from the Netherlands, lawyer Ivan Pavlov said. The scientist is accused of treason, he does not admit his guilt.
“In November 2018, at the direction of his boss, Golubkin handed over reports on the work done to the Hexafly-Int project coordinator Johan Stilant (ESA-ESTEC), whom the investigation considers to be his so-called“ contact ”. He himself was not involved in collecting information for these reports, but only helped to draw up them, “- wrote Mr. Pavlov in his Telegram channel. The defense believes that Valery Golubkin is not guilty in the transfer of reports, since he was following the order of his immediate supervisor.
Valery Golubkin was arrested in April. As Kommersant has reported, suspicions of the scientist are based on the fact that several years ago he allegedly transferred secret information about promising Russian developments related to hypersonic weapons to representatives of Western special services.
Ivan Pavlov said that Valery Golubkin took part in a joint project of the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT) and one of the European institutes. A TASS source previously reported that it could be a Hexafly-Int (High-Speed EXperimental FLY Vehicles) project. It explored the concept of a hydrogen-fueled passenger aircraft capable of flying at high speeds. The project was completed in 2019.
Details of the case – in the material of “Kommersant” “The FSB held a hyperdetention.”
