For signature, President Volodymyr Zelensky was handed Law No. 6297, which is proposed to pay 1 thousand hryvnia to all Ukrainians fully vaccinated against coronavirus infection.
This is evidenced by the data published on the website of the Verkhovna Rada.
So, on December 7, the law was signed by the head of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk. After that, it was handed over to the president for signing.
Recall, on December 2, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted a bill on the allocation of a thousand hryvnia for vaccination in general. He was supported by 253 people's deputies.
In total, the state will allocate UAH 8 billion to help the population.
The money can be spent on visiting the gym, fitness center, cinema, theater, museums, exhibitions, railroad and air tickets within Ukraine.
Allocation of 1 thousand UAH for vaccinated people starts on December 19. The initiative was criticized for the fact that pensioners and villagers will not be able to use the funds, because they do not have the opportunity to go to gyms and cinema.
However, Prime Minister Denis Shmigal assured that proposals for these categories of citizens are being prepared and soon they will be voiced.
