Lavrov urged to abandon the arms race on the Korean Peninsula

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov called on the parties to abandon the arms race on the Korean Peninsula. His words are reported by TASS.

“Moscow and Seoul remain committed to the early resumption of the negotiation process by the parties involved in the interests of a lasting settlement of the entire range of problems in this region,” Lavrov said.

South Korean Foreign Minister Jong Ui Yong hoped for a constructive role for Russia in resolving the conflict, RIA Novosti reports.
