Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said he was counting on an independent response from the EU countries to his letter on the indivisibility of security. The minister's words were heard at a press conference following the talks with Zbigniew Rau, Foreign Minister of Poland chairing the OSCE. It is reported by TASS.

“In order to clarify the approaches of our colleagues, whose leaders signed these documents, I sent messages to the foreign ministers of the relevant countries in Europe asking them to clarify how they themselves understand the set of these obligations, which are called the principle of indivisibility of security,” Sergey Lavrov said. .

The response to Lavrov's letter was sent by the head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell, on behalf of all EU member states. He invited the head of the Russian ministry to continue the dialogue on strengthening common security. He added that the document addresses the issues raised by Lavrov and confirms the proposal of the EU and its members to continue the dialogue with Russia.

On February 1, Lavrov sent a message to the foreign ministers of 37 states of Europe and North America, in which he outlined the Russian side's view of the principle of indivisible security. According to him, he hoped to get a prompt response from each country.
