German Foreign Minister Berbock accepted Lavrov's invitation to visit Russia

German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbock plans to visit Russia. This was announced by the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry Sergei Lavrov in an interview with RT TV channel.
“I met with Annalena Berbock in Stockholm, we had a good talk, a short meeting was for obvious reasons. Naturally, I confirmed her invitation to visit Russia, she is going to do it, ”Lavrov said.
Annalena Berbock took over the affairs and office of German Foreign Minister on December 8, 2021, along with other members of the cabinet of Olaf Scholz, the new German chancellor. Berbock already visited Russia in April 2017.
On December 20, the Russian Foreign Ministry declared the two German diplomats persona non grata in response to the Berlin decision on December 17. The Russian ministry stressed that Moscow will respond proportionately to any unfriendly steps by Germany in the future.
