The approaches of the Russian leadership are becoming more and more popular. This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the head of the United Russia commission on international cooperation and support of compatriots abroad, Sergei Lavrov, at the first meeting of the commission.
“They refer to a certain world order based on rules that they write themselves in a narrow circle, avoiding formats in which they have to face such strong players as Russia and China. We strive to ensure that our work received the maximum resonance, ”he said.
According to Lavrov, Russia has many like-minded people – the CIS countries, BRICS, Eurasian Economic Cooperation, SCO. “And many others who are not part of these associations,” he added.
On behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Foreign Minister – one of the leaders of the United Russia electoral list – headed a specially created party commission for international cooperation and support of compatriots abroad.
