“I received an unsatisfactory response. None of my fellow ministers responded to my direct message,” the minister said.
Instead, Lavrov specified, Moscow received “two small pieces of paper from the official [Jens] Stoltenberg, NATO Secretary General, and the second from the official [Josep] Borrell, head of diplomacy of the European Foreign Service,” in which Russia was urged not to worry and to deal with ensuring the de-escalation of the situation. around Ukraine.
Earlier, Lavrov sent a message to the foreign ministers of 37 states of Europe and North America, in which he outlined the idea of the Russian side on the principle of indivisible security. According to him, he hoped to get a prompt response from each country.
