Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov accused Western countries of wanting to dominate the world at the expense of UNESCO (the United Nations educational, scientific and cultural organization). His words are reported by RIA Novosti.
“There are tendencies that are observed in the international arena and which are associated with the attempts of our Western colleagues to ensure their dominance in every possible way. This, unfortunately, is seen in the activities of UNESCO, ”said the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry. According to him, the West is trying to dictate its interests in this organization.
Earlier, Lavrov confirmed that Moscow does not want war, but intends to strictly ensure its security. At the same time, he noted that Russia warns in advance “hotheads” who want to encroach on the peaceful life of the country.
