Experts from the consulting agency Cable.co.uk shared the results of their own international internet speed study. We are talking about the wired Internet and only about the average, not the maximum values of its speed.
As it turned out, the fastest Internet runs on wires located in the English Channel, Jersey Island, which is the Crown Possession of the British Crown, but is not part of the UK. Here the average internet speed is 274 Mbps. This is because Jersey is the first place to switch to fiber optic entirely.
Next comes Liechtenstein with an average speed of 211 Mbps and Iceland with 191 Mbps. The world's slowest wired internet is found in Turkmenistan, where users receive a measly 0.5 Mbps by modern standards. Russia was in 66th place in the rating with an indicator of 35.73 Mbps.
This is the best indicator in the CIS countries, but less than that of Latvia, Latvia and Estonia with Internet speeds of 63.28, 56.17 and 84.72 Mbps, respectively. Meanwhile, Honor has brought new MagicBook laptops to Russia.
