Latvia introduced a curfew for the New Year holidays
In Latvia, a curfew has been imposed on the New Year holidays in connection with the spread of coronavirus infection, DELFI reports with reference to the Prime Minister of the Republic Krisjanis Karins.
So, from December 30 to January 4 and January 8-10, from 22:00 to 5:00, all citizens must be at home.
According to the prime minister, each case of violation of the curfew will be considered individually. For example, one should distinguish between the situation when a person went to the pharmacy for medicine, and the situation when at night someone walks around the city and has fun.
Over the past week, an average of 17 people have died from coronavirus in the country every day.
