The last US polling station closed in Alaska. The Associated Press reports.

This happened at 21:00 local time (9:00 Moscow time). According to the first results, President Donald Trump predictably wins there. At the same time, there are only 3 electors at stake in Alaska.

Prior to that, it became known that Trump has significantly reduced the gap in the number of electors from his rival Joe Biden. According to preliminary data as of 09:00 Moscow time, Biden will receive support from 237 electors, Trump – 210 electors. A minimum of 270 electors is required to win. Biden got just 62.6 million votes, while Trump got 61 million.

Earlier it was reported that the calculation of the results of the US presidential elections will be delayed, most likely for several days. It is known that the Wisconsin authorities said they would not announce the results tonight (there are 9 hours less than in Moscow – approx. “Lenta.ru” ). In Michigan, the state secretary warned of the need for another day to count the votes. The situation is similar in Pennsylvania, where votes can count for several days, which could delay the announcement of the winner by several days.
