Basket for Rapid on the transfer market! The Hütteldorfer wanted to loose Sascha Horvath von Hartberg. But the 25-year-old goes to LASK.

Rapid sports director Zoran Barisic has long been considered a “fan” of Sascha Horvath. The offensive man, trained at Austria, kicked the “Veilchen”, Sturm, Dynamo Dresden, Innsbruck and most recently Hartberg. The 25-year-old convinced the Styrians, scoring four goals in seven games this season.

A release clause allowed him to change clubs for 400,000 euros. Rapid wanted Horvath – but LASK also tried to get the technician's service. The Linzers prevailed in the end.

“I met LASK with great appreciation right from the start. I really like the family environment that I was able to feel in the first few conversations,” said the player. Coach Dominik Thalhammer: “We have observed Sascha very closely and are convinced that he can enrich our game. His game philosophy fits us well, is very strong at sprinting and has his strengths in the game between the lines.

Despite the cancellation, Rapid is sticking to the plan to sign two more players. The transfer window closes at midnight on Tuesday.
