One of the largest laptop manufacturers Acer presented electric scooters under its own brand. In the third quarter of 2021, they will begin to be sold in Russia.
According to Kommersant, Acer will release four models costing from 40 thousand to 80 thousand rubles. The company has already started to manufacture products. The pilot batch of electric scooters in Russia will amount to several thousand units. They will be sold in Acer branded stores and retail chains.
E-scooter rental services said Acer's models looked “not entirely suitable for kicksharing.” They have a folding mechanism that breaks down first. Experts believe that Acer should focus on a narrow audience – for example, gamers. The Acer brand is familiar to them.
