Labor pensions increased in Belarus
Labor pensions to be increased in Belarus. The recalculation will affect almost two and a half million people, according to MIR 24 correspondent Olga Baranova.
The average size of pensions, including allowances, will be about $ 200. This is the second increase in a year. In the summer, as today, the amounts increased by 6%. In general, almost 9% of GDP was spent on pension payments in Belarus over the year.
“Labor pensions are old age, disability, survivor pensions and seniority pensions. All recipients of these types of pensions will receive a higher amount of pensions from December compared to November, ”said Larisa Yashkova, deputy head of the main department of pension provision of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Belarus.
The amount of pensions depends on the length of service and salary. Since 2017, the retirement age in Belarus has been increasing by six months every year. As a result, it will be 58 for women and 63 for men.
