The evacuation of the entire Glushkovo district has also been announced

The authorities of the Kursk region of Russia have announced a “mandatory evacuation” of residents of the village of Glushkovo, which is located almost seven kilometers from the border with Ukraine.

Radio Liberty writes about this.

The population of the village is more than four and a half thousand people.

Russian “military” claim that the decision was made against the backdrop of shelling by the Ukrainian Armed Forces of infrastructure facilities – in particular, the bridge over the Seim River in Glushkovo. It is explained that in this way the Ukrainian army is trying to disrupt the logistical routes through which the enemy receives reinforcements.

Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting to discuss the situation in the Kursk region, in particular, the creation of military commandant's offices in this region.

Recall that Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Iryna Vereshchuk reported that the Defense Forces are creating a security zone on Russian territory. According to her, Ukraine has opened a 24-hour hotline for residents of the Kursk region.
