The Kremlin Cup 2020 men's and women's tennis tournaments, which were to be held in Moscow, have been canceled. This is reported on the website of the Association of Professional Tennis Players (ATP).
It is clarified that the competition will not take place due to an increase in the number of cases of coronavirus infection in the Russian capital. At the same time, the decision to cancel the Kremlin Cup will not affect the holding of the tournament in St. Petersburg, scheduled for October 12-18.
The men's “Kremlin Cup” was to be held from 19 to 25 October. The women would play the title between October 26 and November 1.
On September 17, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin recommended that all heads of organizations extend the remote work mode for employees. A few days earlier, he announced that there were no plans to introduce new restrictions in connection with the coronavirus.
