Roskomnadzor plans to strengthen the search for prohibited content in images and videos on the Internet, Kommersant reports.
It is noted that for this, the Main Radio Frequency Center (HRChTS) intends to launch the Oculus system, which operates on the basis of artificial intelligence.
15 million rubles have been allocated for the development of the terms of reference for the system, it follows from the data on the public procurement portal. The Oculus is expected to be launched in 2022. The system will detect the distribution of extremist materials and pornography, drug propaganda, calls for riots and suicide.
The documentation clarifies that now the search for such content is done manually. New technologies will speed up this process.
Earlier it became known that the company “Vector X” will develop a system “Monitoring Internet Resources” to identify prohibited information. By the end of this year, it must create the first stage of a system for recognizing signs of propaganda of extremism and terrorism on the Internet.
