Fiorentina striker Aleksandr Kokorin received a refusal from the Moscow City Court to satisfy an appeal against the civil claim of the driver Vitaly Solovchuk, who demands compensation from the player. This was reported by the press service of the Moscow courts of general jurisdiction.
The 30-year-old forward failed in an attempt to challenge the decision of the Savelovsky District Court, which ordered Kokorin, his brother and Rostov midfielder Pavel Mamaev to pay compensation to Solovchuk, who suffered from their actions in October 2018. In total, the driver beaten by Kokorin and Mamaev should receive 200 thousand rubles.
The fight between Solovchuk and the players was one of two provoked by Kokorin and Mamaev in the fall of 2018. They were followed by the arrest and trial of the athletes. Both players were convicted and sent to the colony. In September 2019, they were released on parole and resumed their professional careers.
Kokorin plays in the Italian championship for Fiorentina. His annual salary is 3.3 million euros.
