Kiev ranked second in the world for air pollution

Kiev is in second place among cities in the world in terms of air pollution. This is reported on April 13 by the edition “Glavred” with reference to the ecological resource Iqair.

As of 13:00, the air pollution indicator in Kiev was 155, exceeding the permissible norm by three times. The air in the city was rated as unhealthy or unhealthy for sensitive populations.

Following Kiev are the Chinese Wuhan and Guangzhou. The first place was taken by Kathmandu (Nepal).

In February, the Ukrainian capital entered the top 20 cities with the dirtiest air in the world. The level of sulfur dioxide was three times higher than the norm, and nitrogen dioxide was five to seven times higher.

In April last year, Kiev briefly became the city with the dirtiest air in the world due to a forest fire near the Chernobyl nuclear power plant.
