Kiev court allowed to detain Poklonskaya in the case of treason

The Kiev Court of Appeal allowed to detain the & # 8220; ex-prosecutor & # 8221; temporarily occupied Crimea Natalia Poklonskaya on suspicion of high treason.

The corresponding decision was made on Monday, December 6, by the panel of judges.

A representative of the Office of the Prosecutor General applied to the Kiev Court of Appeal. He appealed the decision of the Shevchenkovsky District Court of Kiev dated September 27, 2021, which refused to give permission for the detention of Poklonskaya for further election of a preventive measure in the form of arrest.

At the same time, the Kiev Court of Appeal satisfied the prosecutor's complaint and canceled the decision Shevchenko District Court.

– The petition of the Prosecutor of the Office of the Prosecutor General for permission to detain the suspected citizen Poklonskaya in order to bring her to participate in the consideration of the petition for choosing a preventive measure in the form of detention was satisfied, & # 8212 ; is noted in the message.

The press service of the court recalled that Natalya Poklonskaya is suspected of a number of criminal offenses, namely:

• in actions aimed at violently changing the constitutional order or seizing state power in Ukraine (part 4 of article 28, part 1 of article 109 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine);

• encroachment on the territorial integrity of Ukraine (part 4 of article 28, part 3 of article 110 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine);

• high treason (part 1 of article 111 of the Criminal Code);

• creation and management of a criminal organization, as well as participation in it (part 1 of article 255 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

As you know, after Russia's criminal seizure of Crimea, Natalya Poklonskaya went over to the side of the invaders. From March 2014 to October 2016, she was the so-called prosecutor of the occupied Crimea.

In October 2018, Poklonskaya received the status of a suspect for war crimes.

And in June of this year, the Office of the Prosecutor General completed a pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings against eight former “officials” Autonomous Republic of Crimea. Among them, in particular, were Sergey Aksenov and Natalya Poklonskaya.

At the end of November, the Kiev Court of Appeal allowed the arrest of the self-proclaimed Prime Minister of the temporary Russian occupation power in Crimea Sergey Aksenov.
