On Sunday, March 13, thousands of Kherson residents went to protest against the Russian invaders who temporarily occupied the city.
Residents of the city gathered in the center of Kherson – on the square near the building of the city council and cinema Ukraine. They took with them the flags of Ukraine and posters with patriotic slogans.
The protesters are chanting: Fascists!, Invaders!, Kherson is Ukraine!, Glory to the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine!, Glory to Ukraine! and other slogans.
At the cinema, protesters unfurled a large flag of Ukraine. Subsequently, the column moved with this flag through the streets of the city.
Kherson residents are protesting against the Russian occupation of the city and the invaders' attempts to proclaim the so-called “KhNR” on the territory of the temporarily occupied districts of the Kherson region.
Local residents note that today in Kherson is the tenth day of resistance and a peaceful rally against the invaders.
It is noteworthy that March 13 is the day of the liberation of Kherson from the Nazis. And it is on this day that the inhabitants of the city protest against the Russian invaders.
People express their position, despite the presence of armed invaders and their equipment in the city.
To date, Kherson is the only major city in Ukraine that has been under the temporary occupation of the Russian Federation since the invasion of Russian troops on February 24.
The day before, information appeared that the invaders from the Russian Federation want to hold a “referendum” on the creation of the KhNR in the Kherson region (the so-called “Kherson People’s Republic”).
The Kherson Regional Council has already spoken out against this. The deputies gathered for an emergency meeting and adopted an appeal to the President of Ukraine, the Verkhovna Rada, the Cabinet of Ministers and the entire Ukrainian people, in which she noted that the Kherson region was, is and will be an integral part of Ukraine.
