The US President's Special Representative noted that his delegation's visit to Minsk included meetings not only with Lukashenko.

US Special Presidential Envoy Keith Kellogg held talks with Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko on key international issues, including the war in Ukraine and Donald Trump's diplomatic efforts to end the conflict.

Kellogg himself reported this on the social network X.

He noted that the American delegation’s visit to Minsk included meetings with Lukashenko and his entourage.

Deputy Special Representative John Cole led the talks on developing bilateral relations between the United States and Belarus. One of the results of the dialogue was an agreement to release 14 political prisoners from six different countries, including Japan and Poland.

“I raised the issue of the Russia-Ukraine war and explained that President Trump is actively working to stop the fighting and seek to stop the bloodshed. His goal is to achieve peace through force,” Kellogg said.

What is known about Kellogg's visit to Minsk

Recall that on June 21, Kellogg made an official visit to Belarus, where he met with Lukashenko. According to Western media, during the negotiations he tried to get support from the Belarusian side for the peace agreement between Kiev and Moscow. However, it is noted that the American delegation did not aim to weaken the union of Belarus and Russia.

As reported, in the Office of the President, namely Mikhail Podolyak , the purpose of Kellogg's visit is explained by the fact that the American politician is looking for opportunities to expand the dialogue window with the Russian Federation.

Meanwhile, it has become known that large-scale air defense and aviation exercises will take place in Belarus with simulated strikes on ground targets and maneuvers to evacuate and support pilots.
