Kazakhstan will not violate sanctions against the Russian Federation, and statements about the persecution of the Russian language are “from the evil one”: Tokayev's unexpected speech

< p>Of course, Tokayev's statements are not as radical as Ukrainians would like, but they give hope that the Kazakh president will not blindly obey Putin.

Kazakh President Kasim-Jomart Tokayev said, that his country is will not violate Western sanctions imposed against the Russian Federation.

The head of Kazakhstan stated this in an interview with one of the Russian propaganda channels.

Sanctions

“Sanctions are sanctions, we shouldn't break them,” Tokayev said. According to him, Kazakhstan receives a warning from the West about secondary sanctions in case of violation of the sanctions regime.

“Very complex, delicate work continues, which I would call the passage of between Scylla and Charybdis“, the President of Kazakhstan said.

The Russian Federation did not save Kazakhstan

Kasim-Zhomart Tokayev commented on the January events in Kazakhstan, when the CSTO brought its contingent into the country.

According to him, in January, the CSTO showed itself for the first time in all 30 years of its existence.Tokayev stressed that not Russia, but the CSTO sent troops into his country.

< p>At the same time, he believes that some Russian politicians are pulling on this situation, insisting that Russia supposedly saved Kazakhstan, and not a contingent of CSTO member states.

“In Russia, some people pervert the whole situation< /strong>, claiming that Russia “saved” Kazakhstan, and Kazakhstan must now forever “serve and bow at the feet” of Russia. I think that this is completely unjustified arguments, far from reality,” Tokayev said.

Russian language

Tokayev said that the position of the Russian language in his country has not weakened, and those who claim the opposite are against the truth .

“Those who claim that the positions of the Russian language in Kazakhstan have decreased, narrowed, and even more so become inferior, are very much against the truth. All these considerations come from the evil one with the goal of politicization or another situation. Why is this being done? This is another question. I, in principle, know the answer to it, but now this is not the subject of our conversation,” he said.

According to him, demand has increased in Kazakhstan for education in the Kazakh language.

“This must be taken into account. After all, the very name of our state contains the word “Kazakh”. That is, we must ensure the interests of those people who want to learn the Kazakh language, give children to Kazakh schools and kindergartens,” the Kazakh president emphasized.

We note that many Russian politicians and propaganda media have raised the topic of the alleged “oppression of the Russian language” in Kazakhstan.

Earlier in intelligence reported that Russia demanded that the CSTO member countries introduce “peacekeepers” into the territory of Ukraine others.
