Kazakhstan spoke about plans to hold the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council

The heads of government of Russia, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Belarus and Kyrgyzstan will take part in the meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council (EIPC), which will be held on February 5 in Almaty.

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.

“On February 5, 2021, the next meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council will take place in Alma-Ata,” TASS reports.

It is noted that “the event will be attended by the heads of the governments of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and the Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission.”

“It is also planned to participate in observer states in the Eurasian Economic Union – Moldova, Uzbekistan and Cuba,” the ministry added.

Earlier it was reported that the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov held a meeting with the ambassadors of the CIS member states, which was also attended by the Chairman of the Executive Committee – CIS Executive Secretary Sergey Lebedev, CSTO Secretary General Stanislav Zas and Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission Mikhail Myasnikovich.
