Kazakhstan begins trials of vaccine against coronavirus QazCoVac-P

In Kazakhstan, work has begun on conducting the first and second phases of clinical trials on volunteers of the second Kazakhstani vaccine against the QazCoVac-P coronavirus.

“The Kazakhstani vaccine against coronavirus infection COVID-19 produced by the Scientific Research Institute of Biological Safety Problems of the Science Committee of the Ministry of Education and Science of Kazakhstan was named QazCoVac-P and passed preclinical tests. Currently, work has begun on conducting the first and second phases of clinical trials on volunteers, ”TASS quotes the press service of the Science Committee of the Ministry of Education and Science (MES) of Kazakhstan.

Previously, scientists have successfully tested it on laboratory animals.

The first Kazakhstani inactivated vaccine against coronavirus infection produced by the Research Institute for Biological Safety Problems was named QazCOVID-in.

Earlier it was reported that the number of cases of coronavirus in Kazakhstan reached 140,784.
