During the protests in Kazakhstan, according to preliminary data, at least 225 people died, another 4,578 were injured.
This is reported by local media with reference to the Prosecutor General's Office of the country.
Serik Shalabaev, head of the Criminal Prosecution Service, specified that among the dead were mainly protesters and civilians, and 19 people were police and military.
He also stated that as of January 15, 4,578 victims were known, of which 4,353 were injured.
