The Kazakh authorities announced a cut in the price of liquefied gas for cars in the Mangistau region to 50 tenge or $ 0.11 (8.17 rubles) per liter after meeting with protesters against the increase in fuel prices. Writes about this TASS with reference to the press service of the government.

The decision was made by a government commission that arrived in the Mangistau region of Kazakhstan and held a meeting with activists who had gathered at Yntymak square in the city of Aktau.

“At the meeting, the decisions made during negotiations with the initiative group of the city of Aktau were announced, namely, on reducing the cost of liquefied gas and setting the price at 50 tenge per liter in the Mangistau region within the framework of the social responsibility of JSC NC Kazmunaigas,” the message says.

On January 2, in the Mangistau region of Kazakhstan, motorists went to protest actions against the rise in gas prices for cars. They demanded a reduction in the cost of liquefied fuel, which rose sharply from 60 to 120 tenge (from 10.1 to 20.3 rubles) per liter. In some cities, protesters also called on the first president of the republic, Nursultan Nazarbayev, to withdraw from politics.
