InfoWatch Group President Natalya Kasperskaya urged Russians not to hand over their biometric data and “not be guided by their convenience” until they explain the principles of their protection.
– They will be stolen, sold, merged almost with a guarantee. Let's first explain to us how this data is planned to be protected, including from our employees. At the same time, I personally do not understand why you need to use biometrics at all? – quotes an expert from RIA Novosti.
Kasperskaya noted that this data can be used in large real estate transactions, when entering closed facilities, managing a bank account, and more.
Earlier, telephone scammers came up with a new way of deceiving Russians who do not want to talk and answer questions from a stranger who called them. Attackers bring the interlocutor to a conversation using a robot and tone mode: under the guise of some kind of poll, they offer their potential victim to press a certain key on their phone in tone mode, if the answer to the question is positive.
