Kanye West has filed a name change request
American rap artist Kanye West has filed documents to change his name to a stage name, according to Variety magazine.
The 44-year-old musician asks to be called “Yeh” instead of Kanye Omari West. He explains the change of name by “personal reasons.” State law requires the judge to sign the application.
At the beginning of the year, it became known that Kim Kardashian and musician Kanye West decided to divorce after six years of marriage. The singer's wife has hired celebrity divorce lawyer Laura Wesser and they are negotiating a settlement. Kardashian took off her wedding ring, and the rapper spent all the holidays at his home in Wyoming.
