Rapper Kanye West first came to the US presidential election and voted for himself. He told about this in his Twitter account.
West noted that he wrote his name on the ballot and gave his vote for himself. It is noted that the musician visited a polling station in Wyoming, where he currently resides.
Earlier, Kanye West said that his calling is to be “the leader of the free world.” According to the musician, he was thinking about running for the post back in 2015. He also said that at first, many thought it was a joke and said why he should not be nominated.
The fact that Kanye is nominating his candidacy became known in August. Previously, the rapper supported Republican Donald Trump, but then decided that he “takes off the red cap” (such caps are worn by the president's supporters), and starts his own campaign. West managed to collect enough signatures to be nominated in only 11 out of 50 states, and in them, according to preliminary polls, he is gaining at best 2 percent of the vote.
