Concern “Kalashnikov” has released a serial version of the newest smart gun MP-155 Ultima, which is synchronized with mobile devices and is capable of training shooters. This is stated in the message of the company received by RBC.
“Over the past year, the on-board PC has been radically redesigned – now it is on the Android system. The design was also adapted for the possibility of using a gun with a detachable buttstock – only with a pistol grip, ”the message says.
For the first time “Kalashnikov” showed the MP155 Ultima a year ago at the forum “Army-2020”. The futuristic design is based on the classic MP-155 semiautomatic shotgun. The main feature of a gun is the ability to train its owner. The on-board PC is equipped with a digital display, shot counter, clock, compass, stopwatch, timer and cartridge remaining indicator. Previously, the company also indicated that video can be put on the gun processor.
The MP155 Ultima has a modular design that allows it to be modified to suit the needs of the client. The outer elements of the shotgun are made of aircraft-grade aluminum alloy and high-tech polymers. The model uses a 12/70 round, magazine capacity – seven rounds (+1). Barrel length – 510 mm, the length of the entire weapon – 810/1020 mm, weight – 4.2 kg.
The “smart” gun is available for pre-order, the cost is 130 thousand rubles.
Former general director of the Kalashnikov group of companies Dmitry Tarasov explained that the smart gun should attract a new generation. “The task is to attract that part of the audience who was born with gadgets and cannot imagine themselves without them. Classic hunting today is becoming more rare, even outlandish. Therefore, I want to involve hipsters, generation Z, ”Tarasov said.
The concern will demonstrate a sample of a serial model of a smart gun at the international forum “Army-2021”. The forum takes place from 22 to 28 August at the Patriot Exhibition Center near Moscow. Earlier, Kalashnikov showed at the event a new rocket for a drone, a submachine gun for pilots and a civilian carbine.
